各位同学大家好，又到了Mika老师来主持这一次的环雅好声音了！今天我们一起来分析一道口语高频考题：Describe a nice place to have a meal.

这道题简直就是为Mika老师量身定制的！作为环雅的头号美食家，Mika老师针对这道题为大家提供两个解题思路。首先，看到a place to have a meal，大家的第一反应估计都是restaurant。所以第一个思路可以把这道题理解成Describe a restaurant you like。如果这样理解这道题，我们可以回答以下几个问题：Where it is? What it looks like? What kinds of services are provided/What kind of food it serves? Why you like it.

第二种思路可以把思维扩展的广一些，比如可以说一个你自己本身就很喜欢又可以用餐的场所。如果是这种思路，那范围就更广了，也可以通过具体的故事来介绍这个地方。这道题就可以简单理解为Describe a place you like，然后解释为什么在这个地方用餐是个不错的选择。举个例子，Mika老师在夏天的时候很喜欢和朋友们一起去湖心岛或者悬崖公园picnic或者barbecue，比如每个人带一些homemade dishes，在开阔的open space赏美景feast my eyes with stunning scenery，聊天have a good talk with my friends，享用美食enjoy fine food。所以可以把话题转向描述一个公园或者一个公共场所，然后再扣题解释为什么适合用餐。可以回答的问题包括Where it is? What kind of place it is？What people can do there？Why you think it a nice place to have a meal?

作为舌尖上的多伦多，Mika老师今天就以第一个思路为大家做一个口语示范。

As a foodie, one of my interests is to explore restaurants serving different types of cuisines. I’m a huge fan of fine dining restaurants, so I’m going to recommend a seafood restaurant I just visited last week with my friends.

The restaurant is called The Chase Fish & Oyster, which is located in the downtown core of the city of Toronto but hides behind the bustling shopping mall, Eaton Centre. Once you step into the restaurant, you’ll get the idea that seafood is what it mainly serves because you can see a lot of the decorations related to the sea: sails, fish and paintings of ocean, and the color tone of the restaurant is pretty light, just white and blue. In addition, it is quite spacious with scores of dining tables and seats. The restaurant is divided into two parts and serves two totally different kinds of food. The first floor is more like an indoor lounge bar, and customers usually order lobsters and oysters as their main courses. The second floor, a contemporary and trendy patio, mainly serves Canadian cuisine. Also, customers get the chance to try high-quality wine from France and Italy. I really like this one not only because of the authentic fine food they offer, but also the overall ambience. It’s pretty cozy and absolutely a great place for friends or family gathering. The services are wonderful too because of the friendly staff. It is truly a hidden gem with scrumptious food, excellent service and great value.
