1 Join the Largest Walk for Dementia in Canada

The Walk for Memories is a family friendly, fun and inspiring event. It is an annual way to celebrate life, honour a caregiver, and come together with a community of people who understand the devastating impact of this disease. It is a courageous way to help support those living with the disease, and show that we are leading the way to end Alzheimer's.

Help us honour and remember the people who have lived with dementia, and join us in the fight to end Alzheimer's disease.

2 About the Walk

Follow the road to victory on this year’s new 2K route! There will be great music and entertainment, and the event will bring together over 1,500 individuals who have been touched by Alzheimer's disease and other dementias.

Assistant

时间：7:45 a.m. to 12 noon

职责：Volunteers needed to help at registration by bringing envelopes between the registrars andcomptrollers. This position requires standing for a prolonged period of time.

Checkers

时间：7:45 a.m. to 12 noon

职责：Meet and greet the walkers and help them line up to register. You will ensure they have all theirforms, cheques and money ready. Volunteers should be outgoing and friendly

Coat Check

时间：7:45 a.m. to 12 noon

职责：Manage the coat check for the event.

Comptrollers

时间：7:45 a.m. to 12 noon

职责：Transfer information from walkers' envelopes onto tally sheets. Must be extremely good with numbers and calculators

Goodie Bag Helper

时间：7:45 a.m. to 12 noon

职责：Responsible for getting goodie bags and incentive prizes to be handed out at registration. Positioninvolves moving between 3 stations to collect prizes to be distributed. This position requiresstanding for a prolonged period of time.

Greeters

时间：9:45 a.m. to 12 noon

职责：Greeters are responsible for greeting Walkers atthe start and end of the Walk. We needfriendly, helpful and pleasant volunteers for thisrole.

Information Runner

时间：8 a.m. to 12 noon

职责：Info Runners are in charge of providing information and directions to Walkers. You may be askedto help out in other volunteer areas that require additional help.

Marshals

时间：9 a.m. to 12 noon

职责：Groups of marshals needed to greet, cheer and direct our walkers through the Walk route. Tomake this position even more fun, we encourage marshals to dress up in yellow!

Registrars

时间：7:45 a.m. to 12 noon

职责：Working in pairs, registrars collect and reconcile online and personal pledges that walkers haveraised. Must be good with people, pressure, numbers and calculators. This position requires aone-night training session.
